The motivation behind Travel Youniversity and the broader work of Soul Advocacy is to bring us into a fully realized experience of our unique nature and purpose in this life. So to continue with full transparency about how I practice what I teach, here’s an update from my post on May 1, 2017 about my travel experiences in Ireland. I took my soul’s advice from the last post to stop acting like a marketing manager on holiday and jump wholeheartedly into being a facilitator and guide for others, no matter what I’m doing. My reward…
At dinner on the next to the last night of my trip a man half jokingly asked when my book was coming out after I told him a little of my recent life story and what I do as a soul advocate for women. When I told him the title of a book I’m working on he actually took my picture and made me promise to email him a link to my website because he wanted to be able to say he met me before I had a bestseller. What a gift to receive such a clear and loving, “You’re on the right track” from the Universe. I’m not going to make It tell me again that I’m ready to put my work out there.
Also, from the time I was a teenager I have said that my life’s goal is to be at home anywhere in the world. It’s hard to put it all into a concise summary, but the experiences I’ve had and the connections I’ve felt with people over the last two weeks have given me the gift of absolute certainty that I have achieved that goal. A few times during the trip I have wondered why I wasn’t feeling ecstatic or blown away and have come to realize it’s because everywhere I go I feel at home. I feel like myself. I feel like I am there because I belong there, in that moment, with whomever I am with, even if it’s just myself. The world outside of the present moment doesn’t exist. I’m definitely not perfect at it, and sometimes found myself contemplating things like a future conversation with the car rental company over some damage to the car, but for the most part I quickly come back to being in the present moment where I can just embrace the perfection of the current moment...even when it’s being in a fender-bender.
Before this trip I was wondering if what I offer with Soul Advocacy is actually valuable, and now I feel grounded in knowing that it is. Being able to hear and follow your soul’s calling toward the experiences, relationships and work that will lead you into your unique and perfect balance is priceless, and worth every effort to achieve. And if I can get there, so can you. I’ve gone from striving to have everything that I thought would make me happy to searching for what would actually make me happy to now just being happy...no matter what. I wish nothing less for you!
